1.The format of the  competition will be Fourball Betterball matchplay knock-out played off handicap. Matches to be played in accordance with the rules of golf as approved by R&A Rules Ltd and with the local rules applying at the course. The lowest handicap player will give strokes of 90% of the difference of the course handicaps of the players. Play shall be from the Medal tees of the course being played.

2. All games to be played to a conclusion (extra holes played if necessary) .

3. Players must be amateur golfers as defined by the current rules of amateur
status and be a current member of the club they were nominated by. They must have a CDH number and a current WHS index. The club represented does not have to be their home club for handicap.

4. The draw for the preliminary round and round one will be made at the start of the season. There will be a new draw for each round of the competition until the Final.
The first team drawn in each tie will be the home club. Closing dates for rounds
will be determined by the committee. Ties must be played by the specified closing date and results received within 24 hours of the closing date.

5. Players shall determine the date of the tie by mutual agreement. The home players will be responsible for offering 3 dates to their opponents. The dates shall not be on consecutive days and at least one date shall be in a different week. It is hoped that players will be flexible and accommodating in arranging dates.

6. Results of matches. As soon as a tie is decided the result should be sent to secretary@glamorgancountygolf.com
