Coronavirus Update

In our last statement on the 18th March we said that all County activity before June 1st was cancelled. All Channel League, Wessex League, Junior and Friendly matches were cancelled for this year and club league matches would be delayed until at least June 1st.
Regrettably it is not going to be possible to start league matches in the near future and so reluctantly the decision has been taken to cancel the Glamorgan Leagues this year. The leagues will remain unchanged for next year unless the number of teams changes.
At present all Championships and Orders of Merit are cancelled but we will review the situation on Aug 1st with a view to possibly playing Championships in September or October, in the Seniors, Mid-am and Men’s categories as well in Junior age groups if time allows.
These decisions have been made following the announcement by the First Minister for Wales and guidance from Wales Golf on Friday 29th May, in the interests of all players, supporters, workers and administrators in the golfing community.
In the meantime as golfers are returning to their clubs and playing social golf only for the time being, we hope you enjoy your golf, respect the guidance from Wales Golf on safety procedures and above all stay safe and healthy.
