Neath Bell

Local boy Richard Hooper takes the honours in the Neath Bell

What should have been the first order of Merit event on the calendar was postponed due to torrential weather. The second time of asking the Neath Bell went ahead despite a morning’s delay due to heavy rain. The saturated greens were prepared for a 12 o clock start and a shortened 18 hole competition. In tough conditions the field was tightly contested with several players posting scores of 75 and 74. The cream rises to the top and local boy Richard Hooper posted what was to be a fantastic score of 70 the only player to break par. Matthew Mullooly came in second place with a 74 and in third place was Darren Richards posting a score of 74 losing on countback.

Our thanks must go to Neath Golf Club and its greens staff  for preparing the Course in excellent condition considering the incredible weather conditions. We Look forward to seeing you again in 2022.
