Glamorgan Seniors Win 2025 Seniors Channel League

Glamorgan won the 2025 Seniors Channel League after defeating Dorset 8-7 at the Dorset golf resort. It was a tense and thrilling match. The morning foursomes had been halved and with one match remaining on the course the scores were still tied. It was left to Steve Williams fittingly, to produce the shot of the season from a bunker 120 yards out to three feet to get the required point. Glamorgan retain the Duncan Samuel Salver that they won last year and make history in becoming the first team to win the championship three times in a row.

The Glamorgan Seniors team secured the half point they needed to win the 2025 South Wales Seniors League. In the match against Dyfed at Wenvoe Castle the Glamorgan team fought back strongly in the afternoon singles after losing the morning foursomes 3.5-1.5. The 6-4 singles series win resulted in an overall match score of 7.5-7.5. A fitting scoreline after a match played in the best of spirits between two evenly matched teams.
